More About Me

I was born in Mullens, West Virginia, but my family made Inverness, Florida our home in 1957 when I was just two years old. Growing up here, I attended local schools where both of my parents taught, and I had the privilege of being crowned Miss Citrus County in 1973. I started my real estate career in 1998 and worked as an agent until 2009. In 2012, I shifted gears and became a holistic health and wellness coach, founding the 501c3 nonprofit, Food Generation, Inc. I spent several years teaching health and wellness classes across Citrus County schools and providing outreach programs to our community. During that time, I also became a private caregiver for the aging mothers of my high school friends.

In 2022, I was excited to return to my real estate roots, joining Coldwell Banker Investors Realty— a company with a special connection to my family. My mom and stepfather, Doris and Almyr Rooks, were active real estate agents with Coldwell Banker in the 1980s, making this a meaningful new chapter in my career. Today, my life revolves around my three wonderful adult children—Jimmy, Sarah, and Becca—who also grew up in the Citrus County school system, my precious grandson Leo, and my sweet Goldendoodle, Cassie. I’m thrilled to bring my local knowledge, experience, and passion for helping people into every real estate transaction I guide.
